The picture at the top of this blog is of my dog. His name is nOOBert. I got to name the pets and now have little say in the names of the kids. At least that is what my wife says. nOOBert is a beagle mix. We are not sure what he is mixed with and someday we will get a doggy DNA test to figure it out. nOOBert is one of the biggest and most lean dog you will meet. He weighs in at 45lbs and very energetic as you can see by the picture. The picture, which is referred to as RawrDog, was taken 2 weeks after one of his eyes was removed. nOOBert was a rescue dog that we adopted in the spring of 2005. We do know much about his birth but we do know that he was born with a few genetic defects. One of which was a under developed eye. Shortly after we adopted nOOBert, he was taken to an animal opthamologist where we learned that nOOBert’s bad eye already formed cataracts and was more or less useless. In February of 2009, we made to the choice to have his eye removed because it would routinely get infected at least twice a year. He has been happy ever since.
